Department of  Periodontology examines the structure of hard and soft tissues that support teeth and dental implants, ensures the preservation of existing health, and diagnoses and treats these tissue. Periodontal health of teeth is necessary for dental function, but also a significant aesthetically pleasing requirement.
 
Periodontology education covers the recognition of periodontal tissues, causes of periodontal disease, the classification and diagnosis of periodontal diseases, learning what kind of treatment is required in which disease and non-surgical periodontal treatment applications.
