Division of Basic Sciences; It provides the basic science that underpins the early years of a dental curriculum, which is necessary for dentist candidates to fully comprehend professional knowledge and skills. It covers courses such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, microbiology, anatomy, histology, physiology, medical biology and genetics, pharmacology, and pathology. In addition, basic statistical methods used in scientific research are also included.This education within the scope of Basic Sciences is carried out by dentistry faculty members and other faculty members from various departments and by using the application laboratory facilities of our university.
