Department of Prosthetic Dentistry is the main science in which missing teeth and surrounding tissues are restored with appropriate materials in order regain diminishing, disappearing, deteriorating aesthetics, comfort and health. This department is concerned with the production of fixed prostheses, removable prostheses, maxillofacial prostheses and implant supported prostheses and the treatment of temporomandibular disorders. Theoretical, preclinical and clinical trainings are given to students in the courses included in the education curriculum every year of the five-year education. Students experience current prosthetic applications in preclinical simulation laboratories, make observation in the clinic, and then patient treatments in clinical practice courses under the supervision of faculty members.
